Golf Tournament

IMG_5737We are gearing up to host our 2nd Annual Crossroads’ Golf Tournament on Thursday, September 21st (10:ooam start) at Marlborough Country Club. We are planning a Scramble Format with 36 foursomes; the day also includes breakfast, lunch on the course, and a dinner reception following the tournament with excellent silent auction items.

Marlborough Country Club (MCC) is a private golf course with perfectly manicured fairways and greens that are fast and challenging. MCC has enjoyed a rich history; the course opened in 1922 with an inaugural four-ball match between U.S. Open Champion, Francis Ouimet and his partner Larry Paton who defeated Ed Childs of Lexington and Parker Schofield of Albermarie, 2 and 1. Ouimet shot 78. MCC later became one of the inaugural hosts of the PGA Senior Tour from 1981 through 1983. Senior tour champions included Don January, Arnold Palmer and Bob Goalby. Goalby said the 12th hole at Marlborough Country Club was on his list of one of the best holes he has ever played.

Funds raised by the Golf Tournament will allow us to adopt new technologies, provide more, resources to teachers, and strengthen our program.
