Dr. Anthony Cammilleri
President and CEO
Dr. Anthony CammilleriPresident and CEO

Dr. Cammilleri is a Board Certified and Licensed Behavior Analyst, as well as a Licensed Special Education Administration, who holds a bachelor’s degree in Psychology from Western New England College, a master’s degree in Behavior Analysis from the University of North Texas, and a doctoral degree in Development and Child Psychology from the University of Kansas. While completing his graduate studies, he served as the Principal of Century School in Lawrence, KS. Upon graduation, he served as a Behavior Analyst for the Somerset Hills Learning Institute in Far Hills, NJ. For the next 10 years, Dr. Cammilleri served as the Director of the Jane Justin School in Fort Worth, TX. In 2011, he was recognized by the Fort Worth Business Press as a member of the 40 Under 40 class of community leaders.

As President and Chief Executive Officer of Crossroads School, Dr. Cammilleri oversees the clinical and educational aspects of the program, as well as guides the administrative team. He specializes in the design of individualized curriculum sequences, the use of measurement systems to assess the effectiveness of those sequences, and in the staff training required for the implementation of both. In an effort to give back to the community, he has published his research in a variety of behavior analytic journals.

In addition to serving as the President and Chief Executive Officer of Crossroads School, Dr. Cammilleri also serves on the Board of the Massachusetts Association of Approved Private Schools (maaps), chairs the Committee for Professional Development, and is a contributing member of the Committee on Governmental Affairs. Dr. Cammilleri’s board service also extends to the Regis College’s Advisory Boards for the Behavior Analysis Department and the Special Education Department.

Dr. Cammilleri is best known for educational leadership that promotes virtues of citizenship, friendship, and scholarship – the elements of an inclusive community whose members care for their world and one another, and enjoy a lifelong love of learning.

In his free time, Dr. Cammilleri enjoys spending time with his wife, Liz, and their two children, Ellie and Matthew. His two favorite hobbies are cooking and woodworking, which he often shares with friends and colleagues.

Greg Martyn
Chief Financial Officer
Greg MartynChief Financial Officer

Greg brings over a decade of nonprofit accounting and finance experience to Crossroads. In his most recent role, Greg led the business and finance office for Tapestry Public Charter School, a charter school located in Atlanta, Georgia, which focuses on providing an inclusive learning environment for students with autism. Greg began with Tapestry just prior to its inaugural year in 2014, which allowed for him to develop and implement the school’s business policies and procedures from the ground up, focusing on efficiency and strong internal controls. Several key accomplishments include: assisting the school with increasing annual revenues by more than 120%, securing a permanent building to replace a temporary rented location, and receiving and tracking over two million in restricted grants.

Greg earned a Bachelor of Arts in Accounting from Baldwin Wallace College in 2005 and earned his Master of Business Administration with dual-concentrations in Finance & Strategy from DePaul University in 2013. Additionally, he has been a Certified Public Accountant since 2011. Greg moved to Marlborough in 2016.  Outside of work, he enjoys spending time with his wife, Megan, and their three children Hunter, Ethan, and Avery and playing tennis in the summer and both hockey and skiing in the winter.

Kevin Hardy

Kevin HardyProgram Director

Kevin received his Bachelor of Arts degree in History with minors in Psychology and Coaching from Marist College and a Master of Science degree in Education from Simmons College. Kevin is also a Licensed Teacher of Students with Severe Disabilities.

Kevin has worked for more than 15 years with students with autism and their families. He has extensive experience in developing, training, implementing, and monitoring behavior change programs using the techniques of Applied Behavior Analysis. He also has significant expertise in creating curricula to meet IEP objectives for a wide range of learners. At Crossroads, Kevin has designed, developed, and implemented new curriculum, progress monitoring and reporting systems, and staff training and supervision programs.

Kevin finds it rewarding to be a part of a community of students, parents, and faculty who work together to achieve the best possible outcomes and is grateful for the opportunity to contribute to Crossroads. In his free time, Kevin enjoys traveling, reading, spending time with family, and coaching soccer.

Kelley Borer-Miller

Kelley Borer-MillerDevelopment Director

Kelley joined Crossroads in 2015 with more than 10 years of non-profit fundraising, event production, and volunteer management experience. Prior to joining Crossroads, she served as the Senior Director of Field Development at Autism Speaks, overseeing events and initiatives in the Greater Boston and Nantucket communities. Her consistent leadership resulted in many successes, including more than $5.5 million dollars in revenue.

Kelley enjoys working with the Crossroads staff, parents, and Board of Trustees to raise the funds necessary to increase the program supports and resources available to help our students succeed. Kelley is grateful for the collaboration, teamwork, and support at Crossroads.

Kelley is a graduate of American University in Washington, DC. Since 2010, she has been a “Big Sister” as part of the Greater Boston’s Community Based Mentoring Program. When she isn’t at Crossroads or a fitness studio, she is most likely to be found playing games, getting crafty, or trying new recipes with her husband and kids.

Benjamin Bruneau
Clinical Director
Benjamin BruneauClinical Director

Ben began his career in teaching and producing positive behavior change at the New England Center for Children (NECC). In 1998, he left NECC to assist a local public school district in building an ABA-based inclusion program for children with autism spectrum disorders, one of the earliest of its kind, which would go on to serve as a model for school districts across the Commonwealth. He has held numerous roles in his time there, including supervision for the kindergarten/first grade ABA inclusion program and district-wide behavior consultant, which allowed him to work with parents and educators facing a wide variety of behavioral challenges and diagnoses associated with autism, conduct disorder, communication disorder, emotional disturbance, oppositional defiant disorder, and selective mutism. In 2008, a colleague convinced him to visit Crossroads to see a school play. He found the school’s vision and mission of improving the quality of life for individuals with autism perfectly matched his own, which prompted his application to Crossroads.

In recent years, Ben conducted symposia on assessing preference and teaching social skills to students with autism at regional and national conferences. He has provided a wide range of trainings on how to produce meaningful behavior change for school personnel and parents in various districts across the state.

In 2014, Ben was awarded the Jerry Shook Practitioner of the Year award from the Berkshire Association for Behavior Analysis and Therapy for meaningfully changing the lives of individuals using applied behavior analytic technology. Ben loves working at Crossroads because it affords him the ability to work directly with a close-knit community of students, parents, and educators.

In his private life, Ben loves spending time with his family and being outdoors three seasons of the year, when he hikes, mountain bikes, and looks for places to fish in beautiful New England. While his days of going on tour are over, he also still enjoys playing occasional shows with his rock band.

Michele D’Alessandro

Michele received her B.A. in Psychology from Boston College and a M.S. in Education from Simmons College. She joined Crossroads in July 2006 as an ABA Counselor. During her tenure, she also served as a Special Education Teacher and Educational and Behavioral Services Coordinator. She holds her Professional License as a Teacher of Students with Moderate Special Needs, and she is also both Board Certified and Licensed as a Behavior Analyst. Michele has published her research and presented at both regional and national conferences. She always goes the extra mile for the staff, students, and the families as she develops innovative curriculums and training programs.

In her spare time, Michele enjoys cooking, traveling with her husband, spending time with family, and reading.

Chris Quartarone

Chris received his Bachelor of Arts degree in Journalism from the University of New Hampshire and his MBA at Framingham State University. Chris has been part of Crossroads School in many different capacities since 2009, helping the school nearly double in size during his tenure.

As Crossroads’ Admissions Director, Chris enjoys meeting with new families and showing them the outstanding features of our school. After enrollment, he delights in watching the student’s progress.

In his free time, he enjoys traveling and spending time with family and friends.

Rachel Farber
Home Services Director
Rachel FarberHome Services Director

Rachel received her Master’s in Applied Behavior Analysis in 2010 from Northeastern University. Her thesis research focused on the assessment and treatment of vocal and motor stereotypy with individuals diagnosed with autism. Rachel is currently completing her doctoral degree at Western New England University. Her dissertation research focuses on the assessment and remediation of overselective stimulus control in individuals with intellectual disabilities.

Rachel became a Board Certified Behavior Analyst in 2011. She has presented at both regional and international conferences and has published her research in the Journal of Applied Behavior Analysis, American Journal of Intellectual and Developmental Disabilities, and Research in Autism Spectrum Disorder.

Prior to coming to Crossroads, Rachel worked at the New England Center for Children, UMASS Medical School’s E.K. Shriver Center, and as a consultant for home-based services. She has over 10 years of experience working with children with autism from the ages of 4-22 in home, community, and school settings. Rachel’s current research and clinical interests are in the acquisition of communication and independent living skills. Rachel loves working in the homes and getting to know the families of the students at Crossroads.

In her free time, Rachel enjoys spending time with her family and soaking up everything Boston has to offer.

Sarah Schmied
Nursing Director
Sarah SchmiedNursing Director

Sarah received her Bachelor of Science in American Studies from Trinity College in 2010. Soon after graduating, Sarah realized that her true passion was helping others achieve their highest possible quality of life. After shadowing nurses at Lenox Hill Hospital, Sarah decided that the field of nursing, and specifically the role of a nurse practitioner, most aligned with her desire to provide high-quality, patient centered care.  To achieve this dream Sarah returned to school and obtained a Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Simmons College in 2013. While at Simmons Sarah completed rotations within Mass General, Tufts Floating Hospital for Children, Brigham and Women’s Hospital, and the VA Boston Healthcare System West Roxbury Campus. After graduating Sarah worked on an inpatient psychiatric unit where she provided compassionate, patient-centered care to adults and their family members during psychiatric emergencies. More recently, in 2016 Sarah graduated from the Family Nurse Practitioner program at Georgetown University with a Master of Science in Nursing. Sarah has been a part of Crossroads since early 2017 and is continuously impressed by the strides students make within medical desensitization programs.  Sarah is also the Chair of the Safety Committee and is committed to providing students and staff with the safest possible environment.

In her free time Sarah enjoys spending time with her family, running, teaching barre exercise classes, and hiking with her husband and puppy.

Alicia Vaughan

Alicia VaughanHuman Resources Manager

Alicia received her bachelor’s in Business Administration with a concentration in Management and her MBA degree with a concentration in Human Resources from Fitchburg State University. She has worked in Human Resources for nearly 10 years. After completing her graduate studies, she proceeded to work for the Sentinel & Enterprise newspaper as the Human Resources Representative and Publisher’s Assistant. She then moved on to work for eTFile, an electronic document management company, as their Human Resources and Interoffice Operations Manager.

Alicia joined Crossroads in 2014 and is grateful for the amazing group of professionals at Crossroads. What Alicia loves most about Crossroads is the dedication and compassion of the staff, and how they strive to make every effort to help the students reach their full potential and become productive members of society.

In her free time, Alicia loves to take dance classes and perform in shows. She also loves to travel and experience new events with her husband, David, and daughter, Olivia.

Lindsey Calkins

Lindsey CalkinsSenior Accountant

Lindsey received her Bachelor of Science Degree in Financial Services Management from Johnson and Wales University. She joined Crossroads in October 2016 as the Accounting Assistant, where she proved to be a valuable asset to the Accounting Department. Prior to Crossroads, Lindsey worked as an Account Services Analyst at a Veterinary Supply Company, where she gained experience in the field.

Lindsey loves being part of such a remarkable organization that is always looking out for the best interest of their Students. She is extremely grateful to be part of such a wonderful community at Crossroads.

In her spare time, Lindsey enjoys hiking, traveling and spending time with friends and family.

Jacob Kozera
Information Systems Manager
Jacob KozeraInformation Systems Manager

Jacob graduated from the Computer Network and Technologies Program at Porter and Chester in January 2013. He holds multiple Certifications authorized by ComTIA, Microsoft, and Salesforce. Prior to joining Crossroads, Jacob worked for two outsourced IT companies that served a wide range of clients from medical facilities, to financial institutions and non-profits. With prior experience managing the IT needs of up to 6 companies at a time, Jacob brings a wealth of knowledge and problem solving skills to the team.

Jacob is motivated to work alongside the staff of Crossroads to help reach our common goals. He finds the staff’s commitment to giving the best service and supports to the students contagious.

When not at work, Jacob enjoys hiking, fishing, rock climbing, and cooking.

Amanda Sheehy

Amanda SheehyClinical and Educational Coordinator

Amanda earned her Undergraduate Degree and Elementary Education Teacher License at Assumption College.  She then earned her Master’s Degree in Education, concentration in Special Education, at California State, San Marcos.  She holds a Master’s Certificate in Applied Behavior Analysis and is Certified as a Teacher of Children with Special Needs.  From 2013-2015, Amanda served as an ABA Counselor in various classrooms.  Then, from 2015-2017, Amanda served as our Adaptive Physical Education (APE) Teacher.  As the APE Teacher, Amanda worked with every student in the school; and has built meaningful relationships with all of the students and faculty.

When not working, Amanda enjoys coaching basketball and hanging out with her dog.

Noah Borgondy

Noah received a Bachelor’s Degree in English from Calvin College and a Master’s Degree in Behavior Analysis from Simmons College. Noah has been a Board Certified Behavior Analyst since 2010 and a Licensed Behavior Analyst since 2016. He has also presented at both regional and national conferences.

Noah has been a member of the Crossroads team since 2012. Besides the students, he loves the family-like feel of the school and its commitment to improving students’ quality of life.

In his spare time, Noah used to enjoy reading fiction, taking artsy photographs, painting, and watching great TV shows. Now, as the father of two super-cute daughters, he enjoys reading children’s books, taking pictures of the girls, finger-painting, and sleeping.

Ryan Hand

Ryan received a Bachelor’s Degree from the University of Massachusetts and a Master’s Degree in Education from Cambridge College. She has been a Board Certified Behavior Analyst since 2014, and a Licensed Behavior Analyst since 2016. She is currently working towards her initial teaching licensure in severe disabilities. She has also presented at both regional and national conferences.

Ryan joined Crossroads in 2011 as an ABA Counselor and now serves as an Educational and Behavioral Services Coordinator. Ryan loves Crossroads’ commitment to helping students become independent adults and its commitment to vocational training. She also truly values the relationships she has built with the Crossroads families and staff.

In her spare time, Ryan enjoys going to concerts, reading, and attending trivia nights.

Simone Palmer

Simone PalmerEducational & Behavioral Services Coordinator

Simone started working with behavior analytic interventions in Brazil more than 10 years ago. Throughout her career, she has implemented ABA based interventions for a variety of conditions including anxiety, depression, ADHD, hearing impairment, and autism from ages 18 months through 22 years old, and across multiple settings including: in-home, public and private schools, hospital, and residential programs.

Simone received her M.S. in Applied Behavior Analysis through Northeastern University, became a Board Certified Behavior Analyst right after, and in 2015, she became a Licensed Applied Behavior Analyst. Simone is currently pursuing a Ph.D. in Behavior Analysis through Simmons College and she is an Adjunct Faculty at Simmons College.

Simone is known for her loving, enthusiastic approach to providing quality services for the students of Crossroads and their families.  She loves working with our awesome students, and celebrating their progress and achievements.

Lindsay Roberts

Lindsay RobertsEducational & Behavioral Services Coordinator

Lindsay is a Board-Certified Behavior Analysist (BCBA) and a License Applied Behavior Analyst (LABA). She began working with the autism population during an undergraduate practicum in 2007, where she assisted in an art classroom for adults on the spectrum.  After receiving her Bachelor’s Degree in Psychology from Wheaton College (MA) in 2009, she went on to work as a Lead Instructor at the New York Center for Autism Charter School, where she discovered her passion for Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) and set her sights on becoming a BCBA.  Lindsay completed her ABA coursework through Florida Institute of Technology and received her Masters of Education in Mental Health Counseling from Teachers College at Columbia University in 2015.  Lindsay has worked at Crossroads as an Educational and Behavioral Services Coordinator (EBSC) since 2016 and feels so fortunate to work at a school where student’s successes are celebrated and staff are encouraged to learn and grow.

When she’s not in her classrooms or office, you might find Lindsay searching for a chocolate treat around school. In her free time Lindsay loves playing board games with friends, baking, and going to concerts with her husband.

Tanya Mouzakes

Tanya MouzakesEducational & Behavioral Services Coordinator

Tanya graduated from Boston University with a Bachelor’s of Science degree in Psychology in 2009. In November of 2009, she joined Melmark New England as a residential ABA Counselor, hoping to help improve the quality of life of the children she worked with. Tanya quickly discovered that she not only loved her job, but she succeeded at it. Tanya was promoted to Lead ABA Counselor in October of 2011 and to a Program Coordinator in June of 2012. Within these two roles, Tanya continued to maintain the high standards of quality care for herself, her staff, and her students. Tanya also graduated from Northeastern University with her Masters in Applied Behavior Analysis in May of 2013 and received her Board Certification in Behavior Analysis (BCBA) in September during this time. Tanya was then promoted to the Assistant Director of Residential Services in the March of 2014 where she took on two residential clinical case loads. Tanya’s passion for clinical programming and research continued to grow during that time and she transitioned over to a Clinical and Educational Coordinator in July 2015.

Tanya joined the team at Crossroads in November 2016 and have been overseeing clinical and academic programming for two classrooms. In September 2014, Tanya also began pursuing her PhD in Behavior Analysis at Western New England University with Dr. Gregory Hanley as her advisor. Tanya’s current research interests include the analysis and reduction of problem behavior, functional communication training, and generalization of functional communication responses. Tanya has also presented her research at regional and national conferences.

Kory Madden

Kory MaddenHome Services Supervisor

Kory received his Master’s Degree in Applied Behavior Analysis from Western New England University in 2013. While getting his degree, he worked in the intensive unit of a residential school program. He has been working with individuals diagnosed with autism spectrum disorders since 2009. Kory received his Certification as a Behavior Analyst in May 2014 and his licensure as Behavior Analyst in 2016.

Kory’s favorite aspect about Crossroads is the “student first” mindset that extends throughout the entire organization. He believes that having that mindset leads to palpable enthusiasm and camaraderie when you walk into the building.

Kory is an avid sports fan, particularly of Boston’s team and likes nothing more than to relax, cook, and take in a game.

Ashley Wallace
Home Services Supervisor
Ashley WallaceHome Services Supervisor

Ashley received her undergraduate degree in Psychology from the College of Charleston and her Master’s in Applied Behavior Analysis from Northeastern University. Ashley has over 10 years of experience in school, clinical, residential, and home settings. Since becoming a Board Certified Behavior Analyst in 2013, she has been providing and supervising home-based services for children and young adults with autism.

Ashley’s favorite part of working in the Home Services Department of Crossroads is seeing the success and carry-over between the home and school programming.

Outside of Crossroads, Ashley spends her time practicing taekwondo and going on adventures with her family and friends.

Brandon Richard

Brandon RichardHome Services Supervisor

Brandon earned his Master’s degree in Applied Behavior Analysis from Northeastern University in 2013 and a Bachelor’s degree from Connecticut College in 2006. During his undergraduate years, he developed a passion for the applications of operant conditioning while working with marine mammals at Mystic Aquarium in CT. Since 2008, he has been applying these concepts to working with children, adolescents, and adults with developmental disabilities. He has practiced experience utilizing ABA techniques in the home, residential, public, and charter school settings. His specific interests in the field include verbal behavior development and behavioral assessment.

Brandon was excited to join the Crossroads Home Services team in November 2016, as he finds the integration of school ABA therapists into the home environment a great benefit to our families that sets our services apart.

Brandon typically prefers to be playing golf, basketball, or spending time at the beach with his family. However, he can easily be convinced to just relax on the couch with Netflix!

Amy Kuck

Amy is a dually certified Speech-Language Pathologist and Board Certified Behavior Analyst. She received her Master of Arts in Speech-Language Pathology from the University of Massachusetts, Amherst where she participated in an autism training grant. After joining Crossroads in 2009, Amy was intrigued by the overlapping roles of SLPs and BCBAs, specifically in reducing problem behavior by teaching students how to functionally communicate their wants and needs. This motivated her to complete the Certificate Program in Applied Behavior Analysis through Endicott College in 2013. Amy’s professional interests are in the areas of Verbal Behavior and Functional Communication Training (FCT).

In her free time, Amy enjoys spending time with her friends and family, going to the beach, and traveling.

Ryan Palmison

Ryan PalmisonOccupational Therapy Department Head

Ryan received his Bachelor of Science in Psychology and his Master’s in Occupational Therapy from Springfield College in 2009. He has been serving students with autism since 2008 and began working at Crossroads in 2009. In 2014, he received a Certificate in Applied Behavior Analysis from Endicott College. Ryan has also presented his research at the Berkshire Association for Behavior Analysis and Therapy conference.

Since joining Crossroads, Ryan established a strong Vocational Department, which includes partnerships with 14 local businesses and organizations to provide our students with essential job skills. In 2015, Ryan was recognized by the Massachusetts Association of Occupational Therapy as the Outstanding Practitioner of the Year. Ryan most enjoys the collaboration between families and Crossroads to promote independence and skill acquisition.

In his free time, Ryan enjoys trail running and spending time with his family.

Kristine Brennan
Physical Therapy Department Head
Kristine BrennanPhysical Therapy Department Head

Kristine received her Bachelor of Science in Exercise Physiology with a minor in Nutrition and Community Health from the University of Massachusetts – Lowell. Kristine then went on to complete the Doctor of Physical Therapy program where she concluded her coursework, earning the Clinical Excellence Award for her class. She has been a part of Crossroads since 2014 and has experience evaluating and treating individuals with various diagnoses in multiple settings, including aquatics, schools, and clinics. Kristine was recognized with Crossroads’ Quarterly Staff Award in September 2016 for her exceptional service and dedication to our students.

Outside of Crossroads, Kristine enjoys camping, playing recreational sports, reading, and spending time with her young daughter and family.
